STOCK EXCHANGES VIETNAM Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center (HoSTC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam was established on 2000. It is an administrative agency of the Vietnam State Securities Commission, and manages Vietnam's securities trading systems. On 8 August 2007, HoSTC was renamed and upgraded to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE). This is the largest stock exchange of Vietnam at the moment.
Hanoi Securities Trading Center (HASTC) Hanoi Securities Trading Center (Hanoi STC) located in Hanoi, Vietnam was launched in March 2005 and handles auctions and trading of stocks and bonds. It was the second securities trading center to open in Vietnam after to Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center. At the end of 2006, combined market capitalization of both Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center and Hanoi Securities Trading Center is 14 billion USD, or 22.7% the GDP of Vietnam.
