Bolsa de Valores de Montevideo, known as the Bolsa de Montevideo or as BVM, is the principal stock exchange of Uruguay. It is based in Montevideo and was founded in 1867.

The Stock Exchange of Montevideo is a civil association without purpose of financial gain, its origins dating back the year 1867. In the current location of the Bank of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, took office the "Bolsa Montevideana Society", whose main aim was to equip the trade in the plaza of a rallying point, an hour set, to treat all business lawful. It also promulgated a regulation of the internal corridors, watching the way for admission, the conditions that will verify transactions, the penalties on violators and other provisions.
