STOCK EXCHANGES RUSSIA Stock Exchanges - Russia Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange or MICEX is one of the largest universal stock exchanges in the Russian Federation and East Europe. MICEX opened in 1992 and is the leading Russian stock exchange, consisting of shares and corporate bonds about 600 Russian companies with a total capitalization of nearly 24 trillion Rubles.
Russian Trading System The Russian Trading System is a stock market established in 1995 in Moscow, consolidating various regional trading floors into one exchange. Originally RTS was modelled on NASDAQ's trading and settlement software; in 1998 the exchange went on line with its own in-house system. Initially created as a non-profit organization, at the moment RTS is in the process of reorganization: it is being transformed into a joint-stock company. RTS data is distributed world-wide through major financial information vendors such as Reuters.
Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange The Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange (SPBEX), located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The stock exchange was founded on August 24, 1990, and it is now the third most active stock exchange in Russia by volume, and the largest outside of Moscow.
