Santiago Stock Exchange
The Santiago Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago, SSE), founded in November 27, 1893, is Chile's dominant stock exchange.
Valparaíso Stock Exchange (BOVALPO)
In 1880 began the first brokerage activities in Chile, where the port was golden cradle of money, business, insurance companies, banks and foreign colonies. That year the illustrious neighbor Don Alfredo St. Mary Lyon start practicing informal brokerage stocks, bonds and bills of exchange in his office. Twelve years later in 1892 establishing the hall corridors formed by a group of commission, which subsequently resulted in the Stock Exchange of Valparaiso, formed in 1898 with a capital of 60,000 pesos divided into 60 shares, at that time there were 160 Companies Anónimas, which led to the establishment of a securities market specialist who will travel to transactions of securities. Subsequently dated March 4, 1905 the Stock Exchange of Valparaiso becomes Corredores de Bolsa de Valparaiso Company.
