Monte Casino
Monte Casino is a shopping mall, an entertainment complex and a casino in Johannesburg North. The complex of 85,000m2, which ‘was designed to replicate an old world Tuscan hill-top village’, was opened on November 30th 2000 after 18 months of construction.

Brightwater Commons

Previously known as the Randburg Waterfront, it used to sport a large artificial lake around which all the shopfronts were built (mimicking the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.)

Eastgate shopping centre, Johannesburg
Eastgate was Johannesburg's first super-regional shopping centre. When it opened in 1979, it was the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere. It remains one of the largest centres in the country, and is the second-largest shopping centre in the Greater Johannesburg Metropolitan Area, after Sandton City. The centre lies next to the R24 airport freeway, between the Johannesburg CBD and Johannesburg International Airport. Stores include Woolworths, Edgars, Checkers Hyper, Ster-Kinekor cinemas, Dion and Stuttafords. A 300Million expansion is currenlty underway, which will bring eastgate to 122 000ms. It is owned and developed by Liberty Life. It is managed by Liberty Properties, on behalf of the parent company Liberty Life.

Formerly known as Sandton Square, it was renamed Nelson Mandela Square on 31 March 2004 after a 6-metre statue of Nelson Mandela was installed on the square to honour the famous South African statesman. It is attached to the large Sandton City shopping centre.
Northgate Shopping Centre, Johannesburg

It also houses the Coca-Cola Dome on the premises, a primary venue for entertainment, expo's and concerts in northern Johannesburg.
Sandton City
Sandton City is a shopping centre located in Sandton, Johannesburg. It has a tower section that hosts office space, as well as the "Top 4" banks Absa Group Limited, First National Bank, Nedbank and Standard Bank. Attached to the centre via a pedestrian mall bridge is Nelson Mandela Square, a 16 000 m² development. This area houses a 6-metre bronze statue of Nelson Mandela, which was unveiled in March 2004.

River Square Shopping Center
