MUSEUMS SOLOMON ISLANDS National Museum The National Museum is located in Honira. The collection includes cultural artifacts from the Solomon Islands, and some WWII artifacts. Several buildings were donated by Japanese government grants. The museum buildig was donated by the Government of Japan and offically opened November 12, 1999. It also includes a library, collections area and media room. During the 'Tensions' in 2001-3, some of the collection was stolen.
Ulster Museum The Ulster Museum situated in Belfast's Botanic Gardens, right in the Heart of the University Area. The History Department holds and collects material evidence relating to the social, economic and political history of Ireland, with particular emphasis on Ulster from 1600 and Northern Ireland from 1921. Domestic and folk life items have in most cases been transferred to the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum.
