MUSEUMS AZERBAIJAN Azerbaijan Museum Azerbaijan museum is the major archaeology museum in the northwestern part of Iran, near to Khaqani Park and Tabriz Blue mosque. It is located in Tabriz and it contains objects obtained from excavations in Iranian Azerbaijan. There is also a place for recently sculptural works of artists.
Azerbaijan State Museum of Art The Azerbaijan State Museum of Art is a storehouse of the works of art beginning from the ancient period up to the present time. All kinds of art are completely represented here. The art of Azerbaijan, West-Europe, Russia, the East is displayed in the halls of our museum. The museum was founded in 1920 and at present it is situated in two old buildings, which were built at the end of the XIX centure.
Heydar Aliyev Museum Heydar Aliyev museum – was founded on the basis of the resolution of Supreme Council of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated February 18, 1999. And from this year on May 10 it shows its activity. In the Museum there are available posters dedicated to Heydar Aliyev family, his childhood and youth, relevant documents and materials having relation to period when chairman of Supreme Council of Nakhchivan Republic worked, as well as signed letters, resolutions and orders.
Rinay Rinay is a malacological museum of natural history in Baku (Azerbaijan). Being also the first private museum in the country, it exhibits around 5,000 clam-shells related to 86 genera worldwide.[1] The museum also displays hundreds of fossil clam-shells. Some of them were obtained by interchange from the Austrian, Canadian, Argentine, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish and Indonesian paleontological university museums. Rinay is opened on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 10:00 and 14:00.
Azerbaijan History Museum In 1920 the museum was built with the first name "learning museum of mother land-istiqlal (independence)". With Azerbaijan committee solution since 1921 it was called state museum, since 1937 was structure of Azerbaijan branch.
