The hospital was renovated, extended and provided with medical and technical equipment and human resources with the help of Sage Hospital e.V., a charitable organisation set up by Cynthia Clottey and Katherina von Ballestrem in 2003.

DESCRIPTION:In 1993, the French still run the hospital and there are still 22 doctors, 2 chemists and 2 administrative officials.Very soon, the large population of the city justifies the construction of new buildings. The hospital grows considerably, its capacity surpasses 600 beds while obstetric-gynaecologic and paediatric services make their appearance. The hospital loses its military character and admits all patients.
