After attending UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar, Louise and her husband Caleb both earned medical degrees at Harvard. While at Harvard, Louise won the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for young doctors dedicated to serving the interests of the underserved communities.
