DESCRIPTION:The Victoria Hospitals Foundation supports all aspects of hospital care in Vancouver Island's largest acute care hospitals. As such, residents of Vancouver Island, young and old, are the primary beneficiaries of the funds we raise. Here on the island, the tradition of supporting health care through private donations is firmly established.
Vein Clinic
DESCRIPTION:All varicose vein doctors who perform EVLT® have received training in the procedure, and have a thorough understanding of vascular anatomy as well as ultrasound imaging. Only a trained varicose vein clinic physician can determine.
Lakeshore Foundation
DESCRIPTION:We believe our community deserves the best medical care that modern technology and medical caregivers can provide. The role of the Lakeshore Foundation is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment from the Hospital’s priority needs list. Each year, the Equipment Committee of the West Island Health and Social Services Centre submits requests to the Foundation’s Board of Directors for specific equipment acquisitions identified by doctors, nurses, and administrators as priority items. All requests must relate to patient care.
