The operation of this interim unit is an attempt to address the urgent need for dialysis in our community.The operation of this interim unit allows Ross Memorial Hospital to prepare for the eventual operation of the expanded 15-station permanent unit. Construction on the new unit began in October, and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2008.

DESCRIPTION: Central State Hospital (CSH) is Georgia's largest facility for persons with mental illness and developmental disabilities. DESCRIPTION:Whitehorse General Hospital is a newly constructed 49 bed, fully accredited acute care hospital. It serves as a tertiary care facility for the entire Yukon Territory as well as northern areas of British Columbia and parts of Alaska. The hospital's 49 beds include 3 Intensive Care beds, 21 Medical beds (plus 3 overflow beds) 6 Pediatric beds, 12 Surgical beds (plus 2 overflow beds) and 7 Labour/Delivery/Recovery/Post Partum beds (plus 1 overflow bed). The Emergency Department and Outpatient Unit provides response twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, the hospital provides a 9 bed Surgical Day Care Unit, 2 Operating Rooms, Post Anesthetic Care Unit and a Minor Procedure Room.
