DESCRIPTION:Aliabad Hospital owned about 750 beds and several departments with 743 professional and non professional personnel. Though after an year, Aliabad was demolished by imposed fraternal war. The personnel of this hospital were shifted to a building that was part of Obs/Gyn hospital.
Mainwad Hospital
DESCRIPTION:Maiwand Teaching Hospital, formerly known as 'Mastoorat Hospital' has a history worth of a century old. Maiwand is an internship-based hospital which pertains to the Kabul Medical University.In the internship phase of students' careers, it provides them with a program wherein medical professionals train them to be tomorrow's doctors.Thus, each ward is filled with up to 70 - 80 novices practicing medical field.There are currently eleven wards available to the hospital, all of which are occupied by students working in laboratories, pharmaceutical and x-ray based trainings.Everyday there are over 700- 800 deprived patients being diagnosed and treated at Maiwand without charge.
