Turku University Hospital
DESCRIPTION:TYKS operates as the centre of expertise and development of specialist medical care in Southwest Finland, offering high-quality nursing and health care services in co-operation with other health care units in the area. Furthermore, TYKS actively co-operates with the University of Turku and other educational institutions and science centres. Specialist medical care represents the highest level of the health care chain. In addition to almost all the special fields of medical care, TYKS offers all the special fields of laboratory and imaging services as well.
Vaasa Hospital District
DESCRIPTION:The aim of the Vaasa Hospital District is to deal with the health problems of the inhabitants of the area by providing special medical services. The district is bilingual and stretches along the Ostrobothnian coast from the municipality of Luoto to the city of Kristiinankaupunki. The hospital district of the federation of Vaasa municipalities is made up of 17 member municipalities, and the federation maintains two hospitals: Vaasa Central Hospital and Selkämeri Hospital in Kristinestad. The last-mentioned is jointly maintained with the South-Ostrobothnian hospital district.

Hospital For Children And Adolescents
DESCRIPTION:The HUCH Hospital for Children and Adolescents was founded in 1997, when three children’s care units where merged to form Finland´s largest children’s hospital, and one of the largest children’s hospitals in Northern Europe.The hospital has 32 inpatient wards, 293 beds, 44 intensive-care beds and 11 day-hospital beds

Herttoniemi Hospital
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Surgery of HUS performs orthopaedic day surgery in the hospital. The other activities in the hospital are the responsibility of the city of Helsinki. Four operating theatres and one ward unit with 25 beds are reserved for patients from the Joint Authority. The surgical unit in the Herttoniemi Hospital was opened on 3rd March 2005.
Skin and Allergy Hospital
DESCRIPTION:The hospital provides treatment of dermatological diseases for the population of Helsinki metropolitan area (1,3 million inhabitants). For allergic diseases, specialist-level care is provided, and for venereal diseases, an ambulatory service is provided.
Töölö Hospital
DESCRIPTION:Töölö Hospital provides treatment for such things as severe trauma occurring in the Helsinki region. The hospital is on call 24 hours a day.Treatment of severe burns in the whole of Finland is concentrated at two hospitals, one of which is Töölö Hospital.
Hospital District of Southwest Finland
DESCRIPTION:The Hospital District of Southwest Finland is a municipal federation consisting of 56 cities and municipalities, as well as the University of Turku. There are 24 health care centres in the district and the population base amounts to nearly 460 000.
Halikko Hospital
DESCRIPTION:The Halikko Hospital is the largest unit within the Psychiatry Division. It is located in Märynummi in Halikko and provides psychiatric outpatient and institutionalized patient care for the municipalities around Salo and also psychiatric institutionalized care to patients from Loimaa
Lahti City Hospital
DESCRIPTION:After normal working hours and at weekends, the emergency duty services operate at the Lahti City Hospital Emergency Duty department, which treats victims of sudden accidents or illnesses
Oulu City Hospital
DESCRIPTION:Patients usually come to the City Hospital either after an emergency visit to an on-duty health center or from the emergency room of the University Hospital. Some patients come from the departments of the University Hospital for further treatment and rehabilitation before discharge. The City Hospital co-operates closely with the nearby Oulu University Hospital. A tunnel connects the two hospitals making co-operation easier. In addition to patients’ use, the tunnel is also used by the catering, laundry and other services. Moreover, the tunnel makes it possible to use the x-ray and laboratory services of the University Hospital at any time of the day and night.
Jorvi Hospital
