Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University  
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi was established in 1980 as the Federal University of Technology, Bauchi, Nigeria. At its inception the University inherited the site of the former Bauchi College of Arts and Sciences (BACAS) at Yelwa. A permanent site covering 4,500 hectares of land off Bauchi - Ningi road was later acquired for the institution where physical development has already commenced.

Ahmadu Bello University

University of Agriculture, Abeokuta  
The University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) was established in January, 1988. It is one of the three Universities of Agriculture in the Country, the other being in Makurdi (Benue State) and Umudike(Abia State).The establishment of the Universities of Agriculture was an entirely new concept for promoting agricultural education and services for agricultural development and attainment of self-sufficiency in food and fibre.

University of Benin  
The University of Benin was founded in 1970. It started as an Institute of Technology and was accorded the status of a full-fledged University by National Universities Commission (NUC) on 1st July, 1971. In his Budget Speech in April 1972, the then Military Governor of Mid-Western State, Col. S. O. Ogbemudia (then also Visitor to the University) formally announced the change of the name of the Institute of Technology to the University of Benin.

University of Nigeria - Nsukka  
A law to establish a University in the Eastern Region of Nigeria was passed in 1955. While that date marks the formal beginning of the history of the University of Nigeria, the enactment of this legislation was, in fact, the culmination of many years of thought and discussion by several Nigerian leaders, and inspired particularly by the then Premier of the Eastern Region, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. WUKARI JUBILEE UNIVERSITY  
Wukari Jubilee University is a conventional University with a main campus at Wukari, Taraba State. The University presently runs three programs in the college of Natural and Applied Sciences, namely, computer science, mathematics and statistics.
