Virtual Health University  
The Institute of Tropical Medicine "Pedro Kourí" (IPK) was founded on 8 December 1937, annexed to the University of Havana Medical School. Catholic University Students Association

It is from here that groups like the Insurrectional Movement of Revolutionary Recovery (Movimiento Insurreccional de Recuperacion Revolucionaria (MRR) ,the Peoples Revolutionary Movement (Movimiento Revolucionario del Pueblo), the Revolutionary Students Directorate (Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil, DRE) and the Christian Democratic Movement (Movimiento Democrata Cristiano MDC) emerged. Its guiding force was a Jesuit priest named Amando Llorente.
