Sam Brock arrived in Kinshasa on August 11 to assume charge of the Embassy on an interim basis pending the arrival of Ambassador-designate William Garvelink later this year. Upon the arrival of the new ambassador Mr. Brock will become the Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) until the end of his tour in 2009.
