The channel broadcasts primarily news, sports, cultural programs, children's material and American and British films and entertainment shows. Its highest-rated programs are Spaugstofan and the Evening News.

Sýn is an Icelandic television channel that broadcast sports in Iceland. Sýn mainly shows football games but also shows a wide variety of different sports. Sýn costs 4.500 kr per month which is about $70. Sýn is only broadcast in Iceland and only in Icelandic.

Sýn 2 is an Icelandic sports channel that shows football games from the Premier League and the Football League Championship in Iceland. It is the only channel in Iceland that has the right to show English League games. Sýn 2 was created ahead of the 2006/07 Football season as the first purely english football station in Iceland. Its sister channel, Sýn used to show English League games before Sýn 2 was formed.
